History of Moscerdam Substrates
Moscerdam Substrates has been the pioneer for novel substrates for lysosomal enzymes for the last 15 years. During this period all the conventional, cumbersome assays for lysosomal enzymes with radio-labelled substrates have been replaced by robust, fluorogenic assays. The range of substrates was developed in a scientific collaboration between the Institute of Organic Chemistry, Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow and the Metabolic Unit of the Erasmus MC, Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
Agreement with Carbosynth
Carbosynth Holdings announced in November 2017 an agreement with Dr Otto van Diggelen, for the continued supply of Moscerdam substrates. This agreement includes the Moscerdam catalogue inventory and the extensive knowledge of lysosomal storage substrates that has been developed by Dr Van Diggelen over the preceding 15 years. Dr Van Diggelen will continue to support the Moscerdam range of products in a scientific advisory role and enquiries can now be referred directly to Carbosynth, firstname.lastname@example.org.
